Description

Challenges

  • Supporting the large number of maintenance activities carried out during CERN’s Long Shutdown periods.
  • Adapting to new technologies and major projects, including the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) in 2027, which will increase collision rates tenfold, and the Future Circular Collider (FCC) planned for 2040, designed to deliver collision energies of up to 100 TeV within a 100 km circumference.

Our solution

CERAP Switzerland adapts its operational organisation through rigorous management of personnel qualifications and job-specific competencies.

Our teams implement flexible radiation protection monitoring programmes tailored to the activities being performed, supported by SLA and KPI performance indicators.

Dedicated specialists support operational radiation protection activities across facilities, worksites and technical areas. Services include radiological monitoring, radiological surveys, area classification, worksite supervision, on-site support and reporting to CERN teams.

The CERAP Switzerland advantage

  • Proven expertise in radiological protection, dosimetry, safety and environmental challenges.
  • Effective data management through dedicated digital tools.
  • Full integration of CERN's objectives into CERAP's on-site organisation.
